Awareness of Audience Introduction

For my awareness of audience and voice, I chose my discussion board post from our Intermission One Movie Talk. The movie being discussed is Akeelah and the Bee. “Atchison also shows us that even an outsider can have goals and achieve them and that insider and outsiders are no better than the other.” The audience I considered was insiders and outsiders because that was a big part of the movie. By the outsider audience reading that statement, it shows them that they can accomplish whatever they want to and that it doesn’t matter what they are considered in society, we are all equal. For the insider audience it reminds them that they are not above people who they would consider an outsider.

I enjoyed participating in the discussion boards because it helped me see so many different points of views. One person could read a statement and see it in a completely different way than how I interpreted it. This helped me look outside the box and open up my thinking. Writing in the discussion board also helped me as a writer by becoming aware of my audience.
